OrganicAdviceNetwork project aims at building a strong network of advisors with organic competences across Europe. As part of this mission, the project organizes cross visits for agricultural advisors to meet, exchange and share their innovative organic farming practices.
What you can expect from this cross visit
This cross-visit offers participants an in-depth look into organic farming practices for cereal production in southern Finland. By the end of the visit, you will get:
- First-hand insight into three contrasting nutrient- and energy-management strategies
- Concrete examples of cooperation — between farms, within farm networks, and across the food chain
- Inspiration for replicable, regionally rooted models that balance ecological sustainability, nutrient-cycling, biodiversity, energy self-sufficiency and economic viability.
- Opportunity for peer-to-peer exchange with Finnish farmers and advisors
- A holistic perspective on sustainable organic farming — going beyond single methods to system thinking: soil health, nutrient cycling, energy flows, local food systems, community engagement.

You will be asked to provide some personal information, a brief description of your interest in joining this visit and your capacity in covering your travel costs. Participation is not immediate, but confirmation message is required, as the number of advisors who may join the visit is limited.
